Shokz OpenRun Pro 2#

Open-ear bone conduction sport headphones worn during rides. Connected to the iPhone 16 Pro Max via Bluetooth for music, podcasts, and navigation audio. The open-ear design keeps both ears available for ambient sound — traffic, trail, and other riders are always audible.

DualPitch™ Technology#
Previous Shokz models used pure bone conduction — vibrations transmitted through cheekbones directly to the cochlea, bypassing the eardrums entirely. The OpenRun Pro 2 adds a second driver:
| Driver | Frequencies | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Bone conduction transducer | Mids + highs | Cheekbone vibration → cochlea |
| Air conduction driver | Bass | Air pressure → eardrum (open canal) |
This hybrid approach addresses the main weakness of pure bone conduction — thin, bass-light audio — while keeping ears open.

Six preset EQ profiles, switchable via the Shokz app:
| Profile | Character |

Microphone#
| Attribute | Spec |
|---|---|
| Mic type | Dual microphone with AI beam-forming |
| Noise reduction | 96.5% background noise filtered |
| Wind rejection | Yes |
The AI noise reduction is effective at road/trail speeds, making calls intelligible while riding in wind.
Safety Benefits for Cycling#
- Both ear canals remain completely open — no seal, no insertion
- Full ambient awareness at all speeds
- Cheekbone mount keeps the ear canal free for spatial audio cues (approaching vehicles, signals)
- Compatible with most cycling helmets without interference
- IP55 sweat and rain resistance handles all weather riding
MultiPoint Pairing#
The OpenRun Pro 2 can maintain simultaneous Bluetooth connections to two devices — e.g., iPhone 16 Pro Max for music and Apple Watch Ultra 1 for workout audio cues — without needing to re-pair when switching.
