Canon EOS 40D#

Canon’s mid-range APS-C DSLR, released August 2007. The 40D was a significant step up from the Rebel line — 10.1 MP CMOS sensor, 6.5 fps burst, and all 9 AF points are cross-type. First Canon DSLR to include Live View. The body is magnesium alloy with dust and moisture resistance.

Mount Compatibility#

Accepts all Canon EF lenses (full frame and APS-C) and EF-S lenses (APS-C only). Does not accept EF-M or RF lenses without an adapter.
